We collect only what the game needs to run: your account, your rating and your matches. We do not sell your data. The game shows no advertising and sends no marketing messages.

What we collect

Google account details — if you sign in with Google we receive and store your Google account identifier, email address, display name and profile picture URL. Signing in is required only for online play and the leaderboard; training against the coach works without an account.
Player name — taken from your Google display name and editable in the game. It is public: other players see it in matches and on the leaderboard.
Device identifier — a random identifier the app generates on first launch. It is not your advertising ID and cannot be linked to other apps.
Game data — points, rating, wins, losses, and the moves and timestamps of your online matches. Moves are kept so results can be verified and disputes resolved.
Usage analytics — anonymous events (screens opened, matches started and finished, sign-in outcome), plus device model, OS version, app version and language.

Why we use it

to create your account and keep your points and rating across devices;
to find you an opponent and to pass moves between the two players;
to settle results, award or deduct points and build the leaderboard;
to detect cheating — for example results claimed for matches that were never played;
to understand which parts of the game are used and to fix problems.

Third-party services

The game uses the Google services below. Their handling of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

The game contains no advertising SDK, no push notifications and no social network SDKs.

Where it is stored

Account and match data is stored on servers we operate at chess.malikoglu.az, protected by HTTPS. Analytics data is processed by Google. We keep account and match data for as long as your account exists; server request logs (IP address, timestamp) are rotated and discarded within 30 days as part of normal server operation.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date above.
